The word deep can imply aggressive. It is the opposite. The skill is in reading exactly how far your skin can be taken without damaging the barrier, which is what leaves it visibly clearer, calmer and smoother to the touch.

The appointment takes 30 minutes. We start with a consultation on the nature of your congestion, because closed comedones, active breakouts, blackheads in the T-zone and skin that feels rough all respond to slightly different techniques.

We begin with a detailed skin analysis to understand the skin’s individual needs, followed by a thorough double cleanse to remove makeup, impurities and buildup, preparing the skin for the treatment.

A detoxification enzyme mask is applied to help prepare and purify the skin, followed by steam to soften the skin and prepare it for the next stages of the treatment.

03Exfoliation & Extraction
Hydradermabrasion gently exfoliates and refreshes the skin, followed by targeted extractions to address areas of congestion and impurities.

A calming mist and carefully selected serums are applied to soothe and hydrate the skin, followed by an oxygen spray for a refreshing finishing touch.

The treatment concludes with customized serums, moisturizer and SPF protection selected according to the skin’s individual needs, leaving the skin hydrated, nourished and protected.

How do I know if I need a cleansing facial?
If your skin feels congested, has visible breakouts or trapped buildup, or simply feels in need of a thorough clean. Closed comedones, active breakouts, blackheads in the T-zone and skin that feels rough to the touch all point to this appointment, and each responds to slightly different techniques.
Is a deep cleanse harsh on the skin?
No. Over-extracted, over-scrubbed skin looks worse after the appointment than before, so the skill is in reading how far your skin can be taken without damaging the barrier. We never force a blemish: forcing causes rebound inflammation and post-inflammatory pigmentation, both worse than the original breakout.
Is it suitable if I have acne?
It suits skin that is congested rather than truly acne-prone. If you have persistent, inflammatory acne, we may recommend a different approach involving LED and a gentler routine, because aggressive extraction can make inflammatory acne worse. Your facialist will assess this honestly and recommend the best route.
What happens during the appointment?
A double cleanse with a balm and an oil-dissolving gel shifts makeup, sebum and SPF. Warm steam softens the skin for exfoliation, which uses a combination of enzyme and acid depending on your skin type. Careful extractions follow, only where they can be done cleanly, then a calming, antibacterial mask and a finish of serum, moisturiser and SPF.
How often should I have a facial?
Every four to six weeks is ideal for most skin types. If you are working through a specific concern like pigmentation or breakouts we may suggest a shorter course, then ease back to monthly maintenance.
What should I do before a facial?
Avoid strong actives like retinoids and acids for a few days beforehand, and come with clean, makeup-free skin if possible. Drink water. Arrive a few minutes early so you can settle in properly.
Can I have a facial before an event?
Yes, but give the skin at least two days to settle, especially if you have chosen something with extractions. For an event the same day, ask us about our express glow facial.
Are facials suitable for sensitive skin?
Yes. The products and steps are adjusted to how your skin responds on the day. We never push through a treatment if the skin is telling us to ease off.
Will my skin be red afterwards?
Many clients leave with slightly pink skin in the extraction areas, which usually settles within a few hours.
What should I avoid afterwards?
Exercise, heat and heavy sweating for 12 hours, and active skincare such as retinoids, acids and vitamin C for 48 hours. Do not pick at any residual spots, and expect some skin to surface over the following week as the clearing work continues. Wear SPF daily and drink water.
